How would one make a custom texture for this

I decided to make the Strelizia spear for fun, I made the first part and I think it came out alright
But I was wondering how do people make their own textures, in this case it's not much, the orange parts, the two white lines and the black holes.
Uv unwraped although I still need to add the seams for the holes.
