**Stardates 3497.2 through 3499.1 (December 2267)**
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." - Commander Scott
*The Enterprise is sent to Capella IV to negotiate mining rights for a rare and essential mineral. They arrive under a warning that Klingons have been seen operating in the sector. Captain Kirk leaves Commander Scott in command, and beams down to the surface with an away team. Just as they offer their greetings to the very particular and ceremonial Capellan people, a Klingon steps forward revealing that they had arrived first and want to secure mining rights on Capella IV in Starfleet's place.*
