Lego doesn't do space sets anymore? Probably to avoid competition with Star Wars? Is second hand the only way to find non-licensed space sets?

So I've been away from Lego sets for a while, and I just thought it might be fun to find a space set to build and have fun with.

Now for context I grew up with the 90's/00's Space sets, such as

- https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/UFO
- https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/Insectoids

Basically all the subthemes on this page: https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/Space (seeing them all gives a lot of nostalgia).

Now I had a look at the Lego website for current similar sets, and it looks like there's only 1 (!) Space set? https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/city?filters.i0.key=categories.id&filters.i0.values.i0=14addeb5-c1c9-47c6-8524-3cc7e52d303e

Other sets are still listed, but retired: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/modular-galactic-spaceship-60446

I've been reading a few threads on forums, and it seems like this is mostly because Lego wants to focus on Star Wars sets, where they make more money?

I'm not really the biggest fan of franchised stuff, Star Wars and others, so is second hand basically the only way to get sets like the Modular Galactic Spaceship?
