[Discussion] How much did/does Berserk contribute to your enjoyment of Soulslikes? Why/why not?

I've personally never watched or read any of it, and I doubt I will after hearing that SA is pretty much an essential part of the work's story. However, hearing how much of an influence it's been to FromSoft, I wonder what the community thinks about Berserk.
