::: spoiler Remolding Pattern Basics
Once you’ve levelled a doll to level 55, said doll would have her Remolding Core (RC) unlocked. Remolding Core enhances the base Atk, Def, and HP of dolls which can be levelled up by using Data Connections. Data Connections are farmable resources like gold or weapon enhancement mats, but is primarly farmed by doing Phase Clash.

The first important part of this feature is the Imago Factor and Imagoform. Imago Factor consists of 4 types, Bulwark (Blue), Vanguard (Purple), Support (Green), Sentinel (Red), These factors are needed to fill up the Imagoform. Imagoform are special buffs that you get as you level a doll’s RC, you get these buffs at level 1/10/20/30/45/60, each breakpoint gives better buffs but requires higher Imago Factor points to activate them. Filling the Imago Factor would require special flowers, which is farmable in Phase Clash, Peak Value Assessment (PVA) Hard Mode, and events in the event shop.

(Note: is that it is always better to level up your RC to get the good imagoform buffs first, especially for level 20 RC and onwards. Min-maxing your flower buffs only provide a marginal increase towards your overall damage. Prioritize on levelling your DPS / most used dolls first since Data Connection farming is pretty slow and limited to phase clash. General recommendation is most used DPS Level 30/ most used Support Level 30/ most used DPS Level 60/ most used Support Level 60.)

::: spoiler Epiphyllum Flower Taxonomy
There are 4 different types of Epiphyllum Flowers: Blossom (Sentinel), Stem (Vanguard), Leaf (Support), Root (Bulwark). Flowers have different rarity as well, alpha (Blue), beta (Purple), gamma (Gold). Flowers that are blue can only hold 2 buff levels, Purple can hold 3-4 buff levels, and Gold can have 5-6 buff levels. Each doll can hold 6 flowers, but can vary in terms of what type of flowers they need.

A typical gold flower consists of 1 Major (Primary) Buff, 1 Minor (Secondary) Buff, and sometimes a Tertiary Buff. Major buffs have a level cap of 6, 5 levels for minor buffs, and between 2-3 levels for tertiary buffs. All gold flowers will have a formula of (Major+Minor+Tertiary) 3+3, 3+2, 3+2+1 buff levels.

These Major buffs influence the flower’s last name, these major buffs are:

1. Sentinel Blossom: Area Specialization (Flameflower), Pinpoint Specialization (Sepal Bloom), Thronebreaker (Crownslayer), Attack Boost (Heaven Blossom).

2. Vanguard Stem: Area Smite (Fissure Stem), Precision Blow (Keen Stem), Beheading Blade (Cataphyll Stem), Smite Boost (Entropic Stem).

3. Support Leaf: Fighting Spirit (Reverse-Thorned Leaf), Healing Boost (Dewdrop Leaf), Attack Unity (Emerald Leaf), HP Unity (Matrix Leaf).

4. Bulwark Root: Annular Defense (Thousand-Strand Root), Defense Root (Stratified Root), HP Boost (Sanguine Root), Pinpoint Defense (Marrow Root).

Minor Buffs influence the flower’s first name, these are any elemental boost/unity/smite/resistance buffs, and others. If you want to know what’s a minor buff just look at the level cap, if it’s 5 then it’s a minor buff. A few examples of minor buffs that aren’t elemental specific buffs are: Ambush Mastery (Sneak Attack), Breakout Countermeasures (Lone Rider), Ichor Conversion (Bloodthirst (not to be confused with a Vanguard tertiary buff called “Bloodthirst”), Ichor Resonance (Immersion Therapy), Lone Rider Countermeasures (Eradication / Cull), Onsalught Mastery (Assault), Onslaught Stance (Aggressive Attack), Raid Stance (Ambush).

Tertiary buffs are the lowest levelled buffs a flower have (1 level), and has the smallest level limit (between 2-3 levels), these buffs don’t influence the name of a flower.

(Example of a flower name based on the buffs:

Attack Boost Level 3 + Onslaught Mastery Level 3 = “Assault . Heaven Blossom 𝛾”

HP Unity Level 3 + Raid Stance Level 2 = “Ambush . Matrix Leaf 𝛾”)

(For more details about the flower names and their corresponding buffs, open the spreadsheet link or go to the IOP wiki)

::: spoiler Flower Gearing
Each doll has 6 flower slots, at level 60 RC, they would need a total of 29 imago factors. Same flower types increases the imago factor requirement of that type.
:::

::: spoiler Major Buffs
For major buffs, it is better to have a bunch of different buffs at level 3 than it is to max out one buff at a time. If you need to fill two slots of sentinel flowers, going for one Level 3 Thronebreaker + one Level 3 Pinpoint Specialization gives you 7% total damage bonus. If you go for two Level 3 Thronebreaker flowers then it gives you a maximum 5.5% total damage bonus.

· Sentinel: the recommended sentinel buffs + levels against bosses would be Attack Boost Level 3 >Thronebreaker Level 3 > Pinpoint / Area Specialization Level 3 > Attack Boost Level 6. (HP/Defense Scalers would prefer HP/Defense Boost Level 6 first before any of the useful sentinel buffs). Against non-bosses has the same pattern but remove thronebreaker since it would be useless

· Vanguard: Against Bosses Beheading Blade Level 3> Precision Blow/Area Smite Level 3 > Smite Boost Level 3. Against non-bosses, same pattern but remove Beheading Blade.

· Support: Attack Unity Level 6 > Fighting Spirit Level 3. Healing Boost can be good for shielders and can be situationally good for healers, and HP unity is bad. Attack Unity Level 6 is only for one support unit, if multiple support unit exists in a team then the other one can focus on other buffs.

· Bulwark dolls doesn’t have good bulwark major buffs, if they scale on def or hp then go for HP Boost/Defense Boost Level 6, and then cope with some annular/pinpoint defense
:::

::: spoiler Minor Buffs
Minor buffs don’t have the same diminishing returns problem as major buffs, but appears less frequently and either starts at level 2-3. Tertiary buffs appear the least in flowers and can only have 1 level per flower.

Generally, elemental buffs from flowers are pretty bad, it’s nice to have a few but you don’t have to actively chase for them. When sorted from best to worse: Elemental Boost > Smite > Unity > Resistance.

· DPS/Sub- DPS/Support that does damage would prefer: Onslaught / Raid Stance > Onslaught/Ambush Mastery >Purification Feedback (If can cleanse) > Follow-Up Strike (Against low stab. beak enemies) >Elemental Boost > Ichor Conversion > Elemental Smite.

· Support units that deal no damage: Purification Feedback -> and some elemental unity levels. Honorable mention for Equilibrium Recovery, since there’s no real way of regenerating stability unless you have a healer, this can be useful not as something to rely on, but more so as a QoL buff in less aggressive content.

· Lex Talionis: this buff can be nice in gunsmoke because it gives you more HP% from guild buffs, and if you have Springfield to boost your HP. While the damage is miniscule, it’s better than all of the Bulwark buffs except maybe for HP Boost and Defense Boost. Unless they buff the Annular/Pinpoint defense scaling from 5.5% to 55% any bulwark buff that’s not Lex Talionis is only good to use for the Imagoform color.

::: spoiler Flower Buff Levels
In gold flowers, the major buff of a flower will always be at level 3. This means that you can either have a major buff at level 3 or level 6. Usually, odd-numbered levels have a higher increase than even-numbered levels. Examples of major buff increases per level:

1. Attack/Smite/HP/Defense Boost

level1/2/3/4/5/6 = 0.8%/0.4%/0.8%/0.4%/0.8%/0.4%.

2. Fighting Spirit level1/2/3/4/5/6 = 0.4%/0.2%/0.4%/0.2%/0.4%/0.2%.

3. Attack/HP Unity level1/2/3/4/5/6 = 0.3%/0.1%/0.2%/0.1%/0.2%/0.1%

4. Vanguard Buffs (not smite) level1/2/3/4/5/6 = 1.5%/0.5%/0.1%/0.5%/0.1%/0.5%.

5. Other dmg% major buffs level1/2/3/4/5/6 = 2%/0.5%/0.1%/0.5%/0.1%/0.5%.

Because of this it's better to go for more buffs at level 3 than it is to go for a few buffs at level 6. This statement only applies if there's good buffs in a specific type of flower, if it's a bulwark flower than you're stuck with HP boost/Defense boost as your ideal choice.

Minor and Tertiary buffs have a fixed increase rate unlike major buffs, but they suffer from lower max damage bonus%. The worse minor buffs are usually the elemental buffs. Elemental Boost starts at 0.2% and increases by 0.3%, Elemental Smite and Resistance starts at 0.2% and increases by 0.2%, same for Elemental Unity but it starts at 0.1%. These elemental buffs are usually ok to have if you can’t fill the imago factor requirements but it is preferrable to go for the alternative minor buffs previously stated in the flower gearing section.

::: spoiler Conclusions
If you're asking about "Who do I upgrade first? what level?" then go for your most beloved doll or your dps first, and then upgrade the team that you use that specific doll. What I did before was upgrade my most used team to Level 30 RC since that's the cheapest, and after a few more weeks of phase clash reset I upgraded one doll two level 60 RC, that was way back in November but the Remolding Pattern feature was new.

There's a lot of nuance when it comes to the specific flower buffs that each doll wants, some are more generic some are less obvious. Because of that, future miniguides would have a special Remolding Pattern section for each of the dolls mentioned in that miniguide. That's it for now and good luck on getting good flower buffs.
