> The 3 baby barred owls from Cabell county are growing and doing great! They are now starting to feed themselves, and are being looked after by our Barred owl Ambassadors Riffle and Willow.
Previous week:

> On Friday, we received 3 young barred owl chicks from Cabell county. Their nest tree had been felled. We are grateful for the help of a neighbor who rescued them, harbored them overnite and got them to Animal Care Associates in Charleston first thing in the morning. They are doing really well! Please, please, we are in nesting season for both birds and bats. Their populations are declining. Unless a tree is a direct threat to you or your equipment/vehicle, PLEASE stop cutting trees now. Cutting trees can resume in the late fall when the migratory birds have left along with the bats.
