Why was Angie Tribeca not more popular?

The series ran from 2016-2018, but I had never even heard of it until after it ended. It was well-written and full of absurd humor akin to _Police Squad!_, _The Naked Gun_, _Airplane!_, etc. It was created by the lead/star of _the Office_, was led/starred by another _the Office_ actor, and had countless other celebrity guest stars throughout. Any time I see the series mentioned, it is being praised. So, why was it not more popular during its initial run? Wrong network?
