John Swinney urges Starmer to show Scotland ‘greater respect’ after SNP victory

And there we have it. In a system designed to prevent a majority, none has been achieved! That Reform UK share seat counts with Labour will surprised many, that The Scottish Greens didn't come up to that tally, but close! Will surprise some more too. Unsurprisingly Labour and Tories continue to slump, old parties becoming increasingly less relevant it seems. And the FibDems keep winning in strange ways for the highlands. And Swinney leads the largest party of the Scottish National Party, to nobodies surprise.

Now comes government discussions, could we see another coalition of SNP/SGR? Minority SNP again? Unionist parties don't add up to SNP, so a rainbow alliance would need to see everyone oust the SNP - and SGR will not work with Reform on anything, I assure you of that, so it ain't happening either. Would the LD and SNP be interested in a coalition? Scottish Greens was not a match made in heaven last time, and the highlands have long complained of centralisation. In all cases, seems Swinney will continue as First Minister.

Thanks for reading folks over the last few weeks, next comes the hard bit: delivering for those voters. And hopefully some less political coverage from me
