Problem with save chats

I’m a newbie. I have been saving chats on my harddrive, and getting folders with a .json extension. I have been able to upload them a resume the chat. But starting a day or so ago the upload even of files that have worked before produces a box with a “note” icon. I’m using Brave. Not aware of what has changed.
