Redirector browser extension, helpful for avoiding time-suck websites
Tons of blocker tools out there like LeechBlock and StayFocusd, [this one](https://www.einaregilsson.com/redirector/) redirects instead of blocks. I've found it useful.
- I know I try to access `timesuckwebsite.com` that I know I browse when I actually should be [squeeblerizing](https://programming.dev/post/24184085), and so I have `timesuckwebsite.com` redirect to `squeeblerizingthesite.com`.
- I know that I have a bad habit of looking at `ostensiblyusefulwebsite.com` for information on underwater basket weaving, but end up sucked into endless scrolling the related articles and never actually finding the answers I am looking for. Sometimes I've actually just dealt with this by using uBlock Origin to banish the thing showing related articles; sometimes I just redirect `ostensiblyusefulwebsite.com` to an html file I made 3 years ago with links to good underwater basket weaving resources where I can probably turn up the answer with a little more concentrated effort.
- Of course, you can also use this for other things (which I guess could be incremental time saving and lots of annoyance-saving) like redirecting `minecraft.fandom.com` to `minecraft.wiki`.
