An awesome Great Egret in breeding plumage

Great Lakes region, USA. April 2026.

A great photo and set IMO. I'm not usually satisfied with my photos, but these egrets were fantastic. Note that during breeding season the egret's lore turns green and they grow very long and showy feathers like filoplumes. I love how the water reflects off of the egret in my first photo.
